Today Los Angeles, CA

Marcom is the creatively-led global team that oversees Apple's consumer facing marketing. We ensure the flawless development and execution of world-class communications across all medias and platforms. Every day, hundreds of millions of Apple customers around the world interact with our products. We drive the strategy and creative work that provide both new and existing customers with simple, engaging and inspiring marketing experiences.

The Performance Media Strategist role sits within the Apple TV line of business and is part of the Marcom Global Media team. You'll partner daily with Apple TV Geo teams, our media agency, and creative partners to turn acquisition strategy into scaled, data-driven campaigns that grow subscribers worldwide.

Description

As our Performance Media Strategist, you will guide strategy across all paid acquisition channels to grow Apple TV subscriptions globally. You will own strategic media planning, campaign management, and optimizations worldwide.

Responsibilities:

Build performance media campaigns and learning agendas that produce quality, scale, and are generating the strongest Return on Ad Spend (ROAS).

Manage global performance marketing budgets and tactics for new subscriber acquisition across social, digital (display, native, CTV), and paid search, partnering with global teams to develop and execute roadmaps that drive growth through new partners, formats, and channel expansion.

Directly manage and lead the agency as an extension of your team to execute strategies and campaigns, ensuring rigorous test-and-learn programs continuously optimize messaging, CTA, and audience targeting by platform across all channels.

Ensure acquisition campaigns follow creative best practices, analyzing metrics (CPA, CPALC, ROAS, and conversion rate) and setting benchmarks on an ongoing basis to drive optimizations.

Socialize results across the organization - curating insights for stakeholders at every level.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with attribution methodologies (MTA/MMM) and incrementally testing, plus downstream subscriber metrics (LTV, Churn, Trial to Paid Conversions, CPS) to connect acquisition performance to long-term business impact.

Hands-on experience with setting up campaigns in various social and DSP platforms.

You're curious across every vertical of performance media, comfortable operating independently, and energized by turning data into action. You'll bring rigor, creativity, and a bias toward experimentation to build acquisition programs that scale globally while staying rooted in what's working locally.

Depth of knowledge with campaign performance, building action plans from these insights, and the ability to bring the story forward to various stakeholders.

Passionate and tenacious in driving tech and media innovation; proven track record of staying ahead of and testing trends, behaviors, and audiences to evolve media strategies.

Experience partnering cross-functionally with various teams and 3rd-party vendors to ensure cohesive and innovative media strategies.

Flexible and agile; ability to pivot quickly, identify when something isn't working, and provide solutions for alternative actions.

Genuine passion for testing, innovation, and challenging the status quo - comfortable knowing not every test will be a win, and able to do so with a collaborative, team-first approach.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum 7 years of experience in a global media performance role (in console, hands-on experience is a plus)

Advanced knowledge of building test and learn agendas, executing A/B & multi-cell tests, and MMT geo-experimentation.
