Partnership Development Lead - Health

The Health team is seeking a senior leader to take end-to-end accountability for the partner-dependent tracks of our most critical health initiatives. In this role, you will own the partner strategy and operational execution from initial concept through commercial structuring, integration, launch, and long-term governance.

This is a senior individual contributor role requiring significant organizational influence, sharp commercial and operational judgment, and the ability to align executive stakeholders across Apple and partner organizations. You will serve as the single point of accountability for the success of external partnerships that enable Apple's health products and services.

The ideal candidate for this role navigates ambiguity and evolving project requirements with ease and confidence. They enjoy working in sophisticated problem areas, diving deep into details and collaboration, and coming out the other side with novel partnership and business models.

Description

You will define, negotiate, and execute complex partnerships across the healthcare ecosystem, including payors, health systems, diagnostic providers, and technology vendors. You will bridge product vision, clinical needs, technical architecture, and commercial reality, ensuring external partners deliver on commitments critical to program success.

You must be comfortable operating with high autonomy, setting direction amid ambiguity, and making sound calls on deal structure, trade-offs, and operational risk. You will work directly with leadership across Engineering, Product, Clinical, Design, Legal, Regulatory, Operations, and Business Development.

You have deep expertise in developing strategy and novel business models in health.

Responsibilities:

Systems Design: Distill complex healthcare system concepts into approachable experience frameworks that align with business objectives, user needs, and clinical guidelines, enhancing the user experience of Apple's health-focused products and services.

Defining Needs and Possible Solutions: Collaborate with multi-functional teams to translate operational, business and clinical needs from partners or the healthcare industry into user-friendly solutions, define product requirements and design innovative business or partnership models that drive product adoption. Translate product, operational, and clinical requirements into binding partner deliverables. Work directly with internal engineering and product teams to oversee technical integrations, workflows, and operational handoffs.

Synthesize: Work closely with partners, external experts and other resources to understand incentives and market needs to deliver the core concepts or point of view for a particular feature, service or business model.

Partnership and business model generation and concept development: Facilitate internal and external discussions and employ your expertise to identify, evaluate, and scope a broad range of innovative partnerships and business models addressing user needs and market opportunities in the clinical health domain.

Partnership & Business Strategy execution: Represent Apple externally. Identify key milestones and drive cross-functional coordination across diverse group of internal and external executive stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree or MBA

Demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities between external partners and internal engineering/product teams while maintaining delivery timelines.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to synthesize information, simplify sophisticated concepts, and build consensus with large cross-functional teams and individuals at all levels.

Ability to think strategically, see around corners, plan several steps ahead, make connections and clear roadblocks.

Independent self-starter who thrives in complex and ambiguous environments.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

10+ years of experience leading strategic partnerships, corporate development, or partner product initiatives within healthcare, digital health, or life sciences.

Proven track record of owning major health partnerships from initial concept and contract negotiation through technical integration, commercial launch, and live operations.

Direct experience structuring and negotiating complex healthcare commercial contracts, including familiarity with regulatory, privacy (HIPAA), compliance, and IP considerations.

Deep knowledge of healthcare market mechanics, including reimbursement models, provider operations, clinical workflows, and health tech infrastructure.

Demonstrated ability to lead and influence senior cross-functional teams without formal authority, with extensive experience presenting to executive leadership.
