Original Programming Lead, Apple Sports

Description

The original programming lead for Apple Sports will lead the vision, development, and execution of premium original content that expands our live sports experiences beyond the track, pitch, or ballpark, bringing stories to life that both deepen and expand our fan bases - and audiences - around the world. Working closely with leagues, teams, drivers, players, and internal partners across myriad organizations and disciplines, the original programming lead will be responsible for building a distinctive slate of programming complementary to our live sports portfolio, reflecting Apple's commitment to innovation, authenticity, and unimpeachable storytelling quality, all executed at the speed of live.

Develop a focused, high-quality content slate across unscripted, studio, and digital / social formats

Lead projects from concept through delivery with a clear editorial point of view

Partner with executive producers, showrunners, and production teams internally and externally to maintain creative excellence and exemplary production standards

Serve as the senior editorial partner to key stakeholders at our partner leagues and internally at Apple

Navigate access, approvals, and sensitivities with discretion and trust

Collaborate with live production, marketing, and platform teams to ensure cohesive storytelling across Apple touchpoints

Highly editorial, organized, and calm under pressure

Trusted by senior stakeholders and talent

Comfortable balancing creative ambition with operational discipline

Passionate about sports storytelling and the Formula 1 ecosystem

Excellent judgment, communication, and taste, proven out in a diverse and deep content portfolio

Minimum Qualifications

15+ years in television, streaming, or premium sports content

Demonstrated success developing and releasing sports-focused original content at scale, across both streaming and social platforms

Strong understanding of Formula 1 and global motorsports

Experience managing complex productions and senior creative teams

A proven creative leader with deep experience in premium, digital-forward original programming

B.A. or B.S. required

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $146,800 and $274,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
