Apple is seeking an exceptional Network Support Engineer to join their Global Network Services (GNS) team, with a focus on Retail network infrastructure. This is a technical, hands-on role in a dynamic and fast paced environment. The successful candidate will have a mixture of technical know-how as well as a excellent network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills.

The candidate will be responsible for supporting Apple's rapidly growing retail network globally. They will need to excel in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task and work not only on day to day operational support, but also participate and manage their own projects. This person must be a collaborative team player that will work across cross-functional groups and have the ability and willingness to mentor others and have a sound business approach for supporting our global footprint.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Network Support Engineer to perform day to day support activities including, but not limited to:

Troubleshoot wireless, LAN and WAN issues.

Diagnose and identify root causes of network issues.

Maintain consistency (code, platforms, configuration) across the global fleet.

Schedule and execute change requests.

Proficiently coordinate and troubleshoot with internal and external partners within a large scale enterprise.

Preferred Qualifications

Related networking engineering internship or job experience.

Excellent quantitative and interpersonal skills.

Leadership experience.

Industry certifications or having equivalent competencies such as Cisco CCNP, Juniper JNCIS, Network+, CWNA

Familiarity with centralized configuration management and automation technologies such as Ansible, Salt, Chef or Puppet.

Standard Linux utilities and programs (grep, sed, awk, sort, traceroute, tcpdump, etc)

Automating workflows through scripting (Ansible, Python, Perl, Ruby, awk or shell)

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Networking, Software Development, Computer Science/Engineering, etc. or equivalent degree/experience.

Experience in Network Engineering Fundamentals.

Flexibility to work early morning or late night shift patterns.
