Marketing Readiness Project Manager

Apple is looking for an individual to join the Product Launch and Marketing Operations team within Worldwide Marketing to help deliver successful product launches and ongoing projects.

The Marketing Readiness Project Manager is responsible for ensuring teams have the right hardware, in the right place, at the right time for major product launches. This includes ensuring units are sourced using established POR processes, coordinating deliveries, and understanding Marketing objectives in order to define the requirements needed to execute factory shipments.

Description

This role sits at the intersection of marketing strategy, operational excellence, and program oversight, owning end-to-end planning and execution for pre-announce and post-announce hardware needs across global launches, events, and programs. In this role, you will partner closely with WW and International Product Marketing, WW Logistics, Operations Finance, PR/Buzz, Events, and New Product Operations to translate launch strategy into executable hardware plans, manage requirements to minimize risk, and ensure flawless readiness during Apple's most visible moments. Translate launch plans and marketing requirements into detailed hardware forecasts and execution plans across multiple locations and geographies.

Define procurement paths based on timing, regulatory, and operational constraints.

Partner closely with Product Marketing to ensure hardware plans align with evolving launch narratives, timelines, and experience designs.

Coordinate inbound shipments globally, ensuring hardware arrives on time for key milestones such as briefings, rehearsals, press events, and launch moments.

Serve as the central point of coordination between Marketing, PR, Events, and Operations teams to ensure consistent execution.

Partner with WW Logistics and Operations Finance on shipment planning, cost management, approvals, and chargeback alignment.

Support regional teams by understanding each geo's unique considerations and market-specific requirements, tailoring hardware plans to logistics, regulatory, and cultural needs.

Proactively identify risks related to timing, supply constraints, regulatory requirements, or process gaps, and develop mitigation and contingency plans.

Manage exceptions and escalations related to pre-announce hardware movement.

Maintain clear documentation, SOPs, and decision logs to support repeatable, scalable execution across launch cycles.

Balance speed, precision, and cost while operating under tight timelines and plans that may change.

Identify opportunities to improve launch readiness processes, tooling, and data visibility.

Maintain an internal global SAP based system (dashboards, trackers, workflows) that reduces manual effort and improve accuracy for launch execution.

Serve as 'single source of truth' for launch related documentation to ensure global alignment on launch plans.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot and proactively address risks, gaps, or breakdowns in communication.

Own new product/systems/tool launch plans, providing updates on critical checkpoints and elevating risks to business partners and executive team.

Minimum Qualifications

5-8 years Project/Program Management experience or equivalent in PMO, Readiness, Strategy, and Operations.

Proficient using SAP or SAP-based tools.

Strong organizational and collaboration abilities.

Excellent forward-thinking capabilities, able to see beyond the current state, proactively identifying risks/opportunities.

Experience in product operations, launch operations, supply chain, or a related operational role.

Excellent program management skills, with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

Willingness to travel as needed to support launch execution.
