Under the supervision of the Head of Global Trade Policy, the Manager for Trade and Economic Policy will identify, analyze, and engage in advocacy relating to international trade and industrial policy worldwide, including issues involving tariffs, customs, export controls, sanctions, and other regulatory issues that impact supply chains and the flow of products, services, and data across borders. Prepare and deliver internal briefings; respond to questions from within the business about policy developments; and work with cross-functional teams to analyze regulatory developments and help formulate Apple's positions.

Represent Apple's interests in meetings with government officials and in policy-focused external engagements, including trade associations and international fora.

Develop and maintain relationships within the trade policy and economic policy community, including executive branch agencies, Congressional staff, embassies, trade associations, think tanks, and international organizations.

Serve as a resource to Apple's Government Affairs personnel around the world, helping to coordinate company-wide policy positions and develop and execute advocacy strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's or Law degree and prior experience working in an executive branch agency, law firm, or trade association

Working knowledge across multiple trade-related fields, such as services and digital trade; tariffs, customs, and rules of origin; standards and technical barriers to trade; and investment screening, sanctions, and export controls

Familiarity with U.S. laws, policies, and programs relating to development finance and industrial base support

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or above and 5 or more years of relevant experience in international trade or related policy fields

Baseline knowledge of trade and export legal regimes and associated terminology (e.g., HTSUS, CCL), and ability and willingness to to learn new subject matter as needed

Familiarity with trade-related roles and responsibilities within U.S. Government agencies

Strong writing and oral communication skills

Comfort interacting with public officials and senior business leaders

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $158,200 and $271,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
