Apple Retail's Customer Insights team is looking for a new leader to oversee a team of researchers who are passionate about uncovering opportunities to improve the Retail experience, which includes all of Apple's direct channels (Apple Stores, Apple.com, the Apple Store app, and other first-party storefronts on digital platforms). As a manager, you will lead the team responsible for all custom research efforts for Retail, implementing a variety of internal and external methodologies to identify insights that directly influence strategic direction across Retail.

This role is essential to delivering critical information that is used to fuel Retail's drive for continuous improvement. Your team will deliver best-in-class research for your partners, and you will cultivate growth mindsets across the team, encouraging new ways of approaching traditional research to find efficiencies, improve speed of insight gathering, and elevate the team's output from simple reporting to synthesized and actionable takeaways. Foster deep collaboration with partner teams and leaders across Retail and broader Apple, developing strong networks and a deep understanding of our business, our customers, and our Retail employees
Modernize research practices, implementing new automation, AI-enabled processes, and reporting techniques to drive faster insight capture
Develop, inspire, and motivate your team to create a strong culture of excellence
Partner with other internal research and data analyst groups to drive holistic, cross-functional storytelling
Establish regular reporting cadences with partners around the world, supporting geo-level strategies with clear and effective communication
Preferred Qualifications
Demonstrated success in delivering data driven insights
Deep knowledge of the technology sector and retail industry, including familiarity with shopping trends, consumer behavior, e-commerce, etc.
Experience operationalizing research processes, including automation, AI-enablement, and system integrations
Self-directed, motivated, and comfortable in a fast paced, highly matrixed environment
Able to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities and business needs
Proficiency with data analysis tools and/or languages (SPSS, Tableau, SQL, R or Python)
Minimum Qualifications
10+ years of experience in market research or related fields, with demonstrated ability to conduct a variety of research methods, including: segmentation, concept evaluation, intercepts, usability, focus groups, IDIs, conjoint, etc.
5+ years experience managing people, leading successful teams, and growing and developing talent
Exceptional communication, storytelling, and presentation skills
Ability to tailor your message for a variety of audience types, from front-line teams to senior executives

Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $191,400 and $344,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
