The Apple Pay and Wallet team is seeking a product leader with deep expertise in digital identity to lead a team of talented product managers delivering innovative, secure, and user-centric experiences. In this role, you'll build and mentor a high-performing team while partnering with engineering, design, and cross-functional leaders across Apple to define the strategic vision and execute on features that expand what users can do with their IDs in Wallet.

You'll be responsible for developing your team's capabilities, driving product strategy, and ensuring successful delivery of complex, multi-faceted initiatives. You should bring strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, deep analytical abilities, and a proven track record of building and scaling products that delight users while meeting business objectives.

Product Strategy & Execution

Define and drive the strategic vision for next-generation digital identity experiences for users around the world.

Partner with engineering, design, and cross-functional leaders to establish product roadmaps and prioritize initiatives.

Ensure your team delivers features that meet Apple's highest standards for quality, privacy, and usability.

Champion user needs by analyzing user and partner requirements, defining clear problem statements, and validating solutions.

Stakeholder Management

Collaborate with external partners, including government agencies, standards bodies, and industry partners, to test and validate new experiences.

Present to senior leadership on product strategy, progress, and key decisions.

Build strong relationships across Apple to ensure alignment and support for identity initiatives.

Ensure features align with Apple's principles of simplicity, user control, and privacy.

Cross-Functional Leadership

Drive alignment across multiple teams, including Engineering, Design, Privacy, Legal, and Business Development.

Navigate complex tradeoffs, balancing user needs, technical constraints, business goals, and regulatory requirements.

Remove blockers and create clarity for your team and cross-functional partners.

Travel will be required to meet with partners and attend industry events.

Preferred Qualifications

Deep experience in digital identity, verification, or authentication systems, including product launches at scale.

Expertise with industry standards such as ISO 18013-5, NIST IAL/AAL, ICAO DTC, or similar frameworks.

Strong understanding of modern verification techniques, assurance levels, trust frameworks, and regulatory landscape.

Knowledge of biometric technologies and their application in identity systems.

Experience working with external partners, including government agencies, regulatory bodies, or standards organizations.

Track record of developing high-performing teams and creating inclusive, collaborative team cultures.

Passion for user experience and deep appreciation for Apple's design and privacy principles.

Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.

MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field.

Proactive, curious, and collaborative leader with a growth mindset

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent work experience.

7+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on identity, authentication, payments, or platform technologies.

3+ years of people management experience, including hiring, developing, and leading product management teams.

Proven track record defining and launching successful products with large, cross-functional teams.

Strong technical aptitude with the ability to engage deeply with engineering teams and make sound technical product decisions.

Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to influence senior stakeholders and synthesize complex topics for diverse audiences.

Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and analytical problem-solving skills.

Highly organized with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $208,400 and $313,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
