Imagine shaping the future of data-driven decision making across Apple's Places portfolio. As a Manager in Data Governance & Management within the Places organization, you will lead a team responsible for ensuring our data is trusted, well-governed, and fit for purpose at scale. At Apple, your leadership will enable high-quality insights that power strategic planning, operational excellence, and long-term portfolio decisions. ","responsibilities":"You'll own governance programs for data quality, metadata, and key data across Retail and Corporate locations.

Your team will gather, validate, and maintain spatial data for Apple's global locations, interpreting architectural floor plans and partnering with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate capture and management within a centralized system of record.

Your leadership will transform fragmented spatial and location data into a trusted enterprise asset for planning, analytics, and operational use cases.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience partnering closely with Engineering teams to operationalize governance through technology and platforms.

Strong program management skills, including dependency management and risk mitigation.

Experience working with data cataloging, data quality, master data management, or metadata management tools.

Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on leadership and execution.

Track record of building trusted partnerships across business, technology, design, and analytics teams.

Minimum Qualifications

8-12 years of experience in data management, data governance, analytics, or the creation of enterprise digital systems.

8+ years of people management experience, including coaching, performance management, and team development.

Strong understanding of data governance concepts, including data quality, metadata, lineage, stewardship, and lifecycle management.

Proven ability to translate complex data concepts into clear, actionable guidance for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives in complex, global enterprise environments.

Familiarity with enterprise data platforms, IWMS/CAFM systems, or real estate-related data domains.

Strong understanding of Architectural or engineering best practices with an ability to influence BIM standards and guidelines.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $164,400 and $247,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
