We are seeking an experienced engineering program management leader to join Apple Service Engineering's in support of the SRE organization. In this role you will lead a team of program managers who thrive in a fast-paced workplace where drive and collaboration are the keys to success.

The SRE team is responsible for service infrastructure that ensures our customers' flawless experience. You will partner with the SRE team to define, prioritize, plan, and deliver the project portfolio of technical, infrastructure, and system needs that make Apple, Apple. The projects range from deploying end to end infrastructure environments, hardware deployments, decommissions, complex system changes, tech refreshes, data migrations, service outage remediation, CapEx planning, as well as continually striving to scale & grow operations and improve operational standard methodologies.

As a member of the ASE Program Management team, you will be on a team that serves the passions and needs of tens of millions of customers in an increasingly security-conscious world, so we're looking for somebody who can be equally passionate! You will play a pivotal role in developing a broad organizational perspective while facilitating & executing on strategic decisions.

Systems within this scope are complex, so you will not only be expected to be able to readily understand complicated and subtle interdependencies, but also to evaluate new requests and new information in light of these systems.
Being able to think on your feet is important, as is the ability to thoughtfully and efficiently debate the validity of a given approach to any aspect of a project under your control.
Needless to say, strong social and interpersonal skills are required for this leadership role.
Preferred Qualifications
Proven self-starter, who is dedicated and demonstrates creative and critical thinking abilities.
Excellent written & verbal communication skills, along with polished presentation skills
Self-motivated and proactive with proven creative & critical thinking capabilities
Expertise in coordination & participation in requirements gathering and design brainstorming sessions
Experience leading multiple complex projects simultaneously
A history of leadership, decision making, negotiation skills, and ability to influence partners without direct authority
Prior engineering, infrastructure, or software development project management experience for Site Reliability Engineering / DevOps strongly preferred
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of people management experience leading engineering program managers in infrastructure domain
Strong background in software delivery, and services infrastructure engineering
Proficient in software development processes (SDLC), and comfortable with various project management methodologies
Experience with risk analysis as well as developing, prioritizing and leading the roadmap
Proven record in defining processes, developing metrics and executing on them while driving program maturity and process optimization
Successful experience managing technical / engineering program management teams, hiring excellent people, and building impactful teams
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science / Engineering or deep relevant industry experience
