Description

You will join a team of attorneys in the Product & Regulatory Legal Group who support development teams, advising engineering and operations teams on a wide variety of matters, including technology development, intellectual property licenses, and strategic supplier relationships. You will collaborate with other legal groups and cross-functional business and engineering teams to strategize on, draft, and negotiate complex technology licenses, software licenses, development agreements, supply agreements, manufacturing agreements, logistics agreements, and other commercial agreements, with a focus on agreements involving nascent technologies and innovative solutions. You will also advise Apple management on risk allocation/mitigation, business strategies, and policies particularly as they relate to the unique challenges and opportunities presented by new and emerging technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of Apple business is preferred

Excellent communication skills with the ability to advise and build relationships with executive management, teammates, and cross-functional partners

Strong analytical skills and business sense with the ability to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways

Ability to develop and facilitate collaboration by cultivating relationships and effectively counseling and communicating with legal and cross-functional partners

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of projects

Self-starter who is curious, loves technology, and thrives in a dynamic environment

Minimum Qualifications

8+ years of transactional experience drafting, negotiating, and advising on complex technology agreements, including agreements related to intellectual property, software, manufacturing, logistics, and supply

JD or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $230,500 and $346,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You'll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses - including tuition.
