We are looking for a Health Initiatives Lead who can drive initiatives at any stage-from early exploration through launch-and move to where business needs are greatest.
Description
The ideal candidate can drive work at any phase. They might own early exploration on one initiative-developing strategy, building pitches, getting projects resourced-then shift to own execution on another, becoming the accountable lead who drives delivery and ships. Or they might join mid-stream to take a resourced project through launch.

They adapt to the phase they're in. When exploring, they're patient and building consensus. When executing, they're decisive and driving closure. They know what each phase requires and can move between projects as business needs shift. The key accountabilities are:
During Exploration (Idea → Resourced Project):
• Develop strategy and partnership concepts that connect technical & operational capability with consumer value
• Drive pitch development: business and market assessment, technical & operational feasibility, feature requirements, risk analysis
• Build consensus across engineering, design, operations, legal, privacy, clinical, executive, and external stakeholders
• Translate market opportunities and technical possibilities into compelling proposals
• Drive selected concepts through the resourcing process
During Execution (Resourced Project → Launch):
• Single point of accountability for the working team and sponsor
• Own day-to-day program delivery: milestones, dependencies, blockers, resolution
• Make decisions through stakeholder consensus: scope tradeoffs, program risks, escalations
• Drive team clarity in cross-functional meetings and executive reviews
• Own risk mitigation and issue resolution
• Ensure the plan meets Apple's quality bar and understand holistically what's feasible to ship
• Where appropriate manage complexity of internal and external stakeholders, representing Apple requirements, technical feasibility.

Cross-Functional Leadership: Drive work across teams without direct authority. Build alignment across diverse functions-engineering, design, legal, privacy, operations, marketing. Navigate competing priorities and drive consensus in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Create the conditions for teams to do their best work.
Communication Excellence: This spans executive communication, external communication and cross-functional team communication. Craft compelling presentations-strategy documents, executive briefings, product proposals, business cases, and partnership frameworks-that communicate complex concepts with clarity and persuasion. Deliver impactful verbal presentations to diverse audiences, from technical teams to executive leadership. Synthesize complexity into clarity. Frame decisions that need executive input and come prepared with recommendations. Know when its I appropriate to escalate and when not
Product Scope & Trade-offs: Make ongoing decisions about what gets built, what gets deferred, and how to adapt scope based on technical feasibility, timeline constraints, and strategic priorities
Risk Management: Proactively identify program risks-technical, regulatory, operational, timeline-and drive mitigation plans to resolution. Escalate when appropriate
Quality & Feasibility Judgment: Maintain a holistic view of the program. Know what's technically possible, what's clinically sound, what's legally viable, and what's worth shipping. Push back when the plan doesn't meet the bar
Engineering Requirements Translation: Work closely with engineering, design, operations, and clinical teams to define feature sets and technical requirements that support strategic product concepts. Bridge the gap between business strategy and technical implementation, ensuring proposals are both visionary and executable.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or equivalent experience
Track record moving between strategic and execution work depending on business need
Comfort driving work at any project phase-can pick up early exploration or jump into active execution
Ability to be the accountable owner when leading execution: the person who can be reached at any time and will have an answer or a plan
Experience making tough calls, managing trade-offs under constraint, and shipping high-quality products
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
12+ years of experience in healthcare strategy and program development
Proven track record driving work at multiple phases-from early concept development through execution and launch
Experience building consensus and driving decisions across engineering, design, legal, privacy, clinical, and regulatory stakeholders
Deep understanding of the healthcare market globally-providers, payors, governments, digital technology solutions-and the clinical, operational, and regulatory realities that shape what's feasible to build
Deep knowledge of consumer health products, including digital health technologies, wearables, health services, or related ecosystems

Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $203,300 and $305,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
