Finance Transformation Manager, Treasury

Today Cupertino, CA

Imagine what you could do here. At Apple, new ideas have a way of becoming great products, services, and customer experiences very quickly. Bring passion and dedication to your job and there's no telling what you could accomplish! We are looking for a transformational leader to help shape the financial future of one of the world's most dynamic and influential companies.

This is a rare opportunity to sit at the intersection of finance, technology, and innovation. As a Finance Transformation Manager, you won't just oversee programs - you'll lead a team of high-performing Program Managers to architect the financial infrastructure that powers a complex, global business ecosystem. You'll drive high-impact, large-scale, cross-functional initiatives that modernize how the Finance organization operates at scale, with a particular focus on Treasury and Corporate Tax transformation.

Description

A core part of this role is championing the "why" - building compelling, rigorous business cases that articulate the value and strategic rationale for investing in transformation in specific areas, and ensuring your team of Program Managers delivers against those business cases with discipline and accountability. You'll set the standard for best-in-class process analysis and program management practices, and ensure the team communicates roadmaps and strategy with clarity and conviction at all levels of the organisation - including presenting to CFO staff.

The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in treasury and/or tax, combined with a proven ability to lead and deliver large-scale transformation programs. You'll partner closely with product managers, delivery leads, EPMs, engineering leads, business partners, and engineers across the company, driving the adoption of next-generation technologies - including Generative AI - to unlock smarter, faster, and more resilient financial operations. If you thrive in complex, ambiguous environments and want your work to have a direct impact on one of the world's most influential companies, this is your role.","responsibilities":"1. Lead & Develop a Team of Program Managers

Manage, mentor, and grow a team of Finance Transformation Program Managers. Set clear objectives, foster a high-performance culture, and ensure the team is equipped to deliver large-scale programs with excellence. Serve as a player-coach, providing strategic guidance while empowering your team to own execution. Hold the team accountable to best-in-class program management practices, rigorous process analysis, and clear, consistent communication of roadmaps and strategy across all levels of the organisation.

2. Define & Own the Transformation Roadmap

Develop and articulate a clear, multi-year vision and roadmap for finance transformation, covering financial processes, systems architecture, and data structures. Translate strategy into executable programs with measurable outcomes, and ensure portfolio-level prioritization aligns with business objectives. Communicate roadmaps and strategic direction with clarity to senior leadership, including CFO staff, ensuring alignment and buy-in at every stage.

3. Champion the "Why" - Business Case Development & Investment Prioritization

Lead the development of compelling, data-driven business cases that clearly articulate the strategic rationale and return on investment for transformation initiatives. Ensure the team consistently asks and answers the "why" before committing to solutions - evaluating where investment will drive the greatest impact across Treasury and Corporate Tax. Hold Program Managers accountable for delivering against approved business cases, tracking benefits realisation, and course-correcting where needed.

4. Partner with Finance Transformation Leads

Partner closely with the Finance Transformation Lead(s) for Corporate Tax and Treasury to define and implement strategic roadmaps for each domain. Ensure program delivery is tightly aligned to the strategic direction set by domain leads, and that cross-functional dependencies, priorities, and milestones are coordinated effectively across the broader transformation portfolio.
