Description

We are looking for a finance professional with deep functional expertise who can lead process improvement and automation initiatives across the finance organization. This role sits within Finance and focuses on enhancing core finance processes, strengthening controls, and improving reporting efficiency through smart use of automation and digital tools. The ideal candidate brings strong accounting or finance operations experience and a mindset for continuous improvement and modernization.

This role collaborates across our extended team of financial analysts and interacts with partners in IS&T and the Finance Transformation Office. The value you bring to our team is the ability to understand existing processes, design and implement innovative solutions, and effectively prioritize enhancement activities. Develop KPIs and reporting to measure automation value and ROI

Understand existing process flows, stakeholders, benefits, and limitations

Identify, assess, and prioritize finance processes for automation and optimization

Design and implement automation solutions (RPA, workflow tools, low-code platforms, AI-based tools)

Partner with Controllership, FP&A and Finance Transformation office to streamline workflows

Support data integrity, reconciliation quality, and reporting accuracy

Track and report productivity gains and cost savings from automation

Assist in change management and training within the finance function

Support change management and user training for new tools and processes

Own the TCO model, an integral part of how IS&T Finance consolidates and reports out on critical financial information

Preferred Qualifications

Strong proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python or R

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field

5+ years experience in finance operations, transformation, or automation roles

Strong understanding of finance processes and controls

Strong proficiency in Excel, SQL and experience with data visualization platforms (e.g. Tableau, Looker).

Analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams.

Self-motivated and intellectually curious, with a demonstrated ability to thrive in ambiguous problem spaces.

Proactive problem solver, encouraged to present problems and recommendations simultaneously

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $137,900 and $207,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
