We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to program manage the global wireless certification process for our New Product Introduction (NPI) hardware.

In this role, you will stand at the intersection of hardware engineering, global policy, and process innovation. You will not only drive the complex process of RF & wireless certification but also facilitate critical thought leadership on emerging regulatory landscapes in this domain. You will be expected to seek and implement efficiencies to optimize throughput and reduce costs. As our internal silicon development and engineering capabilities expand, you will play a crucial role in building intentional regulatory and certification capabilities that match the pace of innovation-ensuring we remain proactive rather than reactive in a rapidly evolving global regulatory environment. Develop and execute comprehensive schedules and test plans in collaboration with Test Engineering and Operations teams to ensure timely and successful global market access.

Global Regulatory Roadmap Development: Move beyond ad-hoc reactivity by establishing a proactive, global regulatory requirements roadmap. Ratify and prioritize global regulatory requirements across all regions, preventing over-calibration to any single region or country that could constrain Apple's market access. Synthesize inputs from all stakeholders, create prioritization frameworks, and balance competing regional demands to establish a truly global certification strategy.

Cross-Functional Partner Engagement: Ensure that all cross-functional partners are engaged and aligned by bringing the right people to the table at the right time. Facilitate information synthesis, define clear outcomes, and drive consensus on key-and sometimes contentious-issues, managing inherent tradeoffs and pros vs. cons discussions to achieve alignment across teams.

Future Technology & Silicon Roadmap Integration: Develop and maintain a roadmap of future technologies and certification requirements that aligns with Apple's internalization of silicon design and engineering capability. Ensure that regulatory and certification capabilities are intentionally designed to match the pace of innovation, addressing emerging challenges in cybersecurity, AI, data protection regulations, and other evolving compliance domains.

Optimization and Efficiency: Proactively identify and implement opportunities to streamline capabilities, increase throughput, and reduce overall certification costs without compromising quality or compliance.

Process & Systems Development: Identify and close critical gaps in our compliance processes. Design, build, and implement scalable systems, tools, and frameworks to drive rigor, process discipline, and predictability across all programs.

Escalation Management: Create and manage a robust escalation framework for the team. Define clear processes for identifying, triaging, and resolving high-stakes issues, ensuring swift resolution and clear communication to all stakeholders.

Cross-Functional Leadership: Drive and influence cross-functional teams to foster a collaborative environment built on transparency and shared objectives.

Communication & Transparency: Champion initiatives to enhance communication and transparency between RF Engineering (RFE), compliance, and partner teams. Ensure that information flows seamlessly and that all teams are aligned on priorities and risks.

Problem Solving: Lead complex, multi-disciplinary problem-solving efforts. Deconstruct ambiguous challenges, navigate technical and regulatory hurdles, and drive teams toward effective solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience or MBA is a plus

Experience with certification testing for consumer electronics (e.g., FCC, ISED, CE RED).

Technical understanding of wireless technologies such as WiFi, Bluetooth, and Cellular

A technical background in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

PMP Certification is a plus.

Foreign language proficiency relevant in major markets also desirable.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

7-10+ years of experience in technical program management, project management, or a related role within a hardware development or NPI environment.

Proven experience in cross-functional leadership, with a demonstrated ability to influence, align, and drive teams without direct authority.

A strong track record of identifying and closing process gaps, and experience building scalable systems, frameworks, or processes from the ground up.

Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure and navigate ambiguous challenges.

Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information from multiple sources, facilitate consensus-building, and drive alignment on outcomes-especially when managing competing priorities and tradeoffs.

Exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.

Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical and regulatory concepts to diverse audiences.

Familiarity with the RF/wireless technology space and/or regulatory compliance processes.

Experience developing and executing strategic roadmaps in a global, multi-region environment.
