Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented technical engineering project manager who will partner with our Dev, QA, Infrastructure, and SRE teams to drive/lead/organize cross-functional efforts across Apple manufacturing and data center environments. This role requires an energetic and motivated individual with strong communication, organization, and technical skills to drive operational projects in a fast-paced, dynamic and data driven environment. Are you ready for this challenging yet highly visible and rewarding opportunity?","responsibilities":"Manage and take responsibility for global cross-functional projects from a site reliability perspective to support multiple simultaneously large Infrastructure, SRE and Operational projects right from - requirements, site cutovers, capacity assessments and readiness for new product launches.

Drive prioritization exercises and decision forums to ensure business budgets drive the highest ROI. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and establish project goals, objectives, and timelines

Focus on continuous process improvements and advocate for best practices for using tools and processes for application deployment that contributes to operational excellence.

Document solutions clearly and thoroughly and use that to train others on the team, including production support personnel.

Accountable for project progress, lead project execution and deliverables, integration, identify deviations from plans, recommend corrective actions to keep projects on track, flagging when projects or deadlines are in jeopardy to all stakeholders while maintaining respectful relationships in difficult or stressful situations.

Leverage data and analytics to find efficiency opportunities and drive effective decision making.

Participate and contribute to a strong team culture, where trusted relationships are leveraged to do hard things together.

Collaborate effectively with IT engineers, network engineers, system administrators and other technical teams to ensure project alignment and technical feasibility.

Provide status reports to management and stakeholders on a regular basis.

Track and manage project expenditures, savings to ensure projects are within budget, look for cost avoidance opportunities so that financial goals are met.

Build strong customer relationships with operations, data centers, suppliers, vendors, manufacturing teams. Identify opportunities that benefit the customer and deliver solutions that meet customer expectations.

Experience with Tableau or similar dashboard applications.

Excellent communication and presentation skills to globally dispersed project teams and leadership

Expert in project scoping, identifying risks, developing mitigation strategies, stakeholder management, data-driven analysis for decisions and facilitating resolutions along with application readiness and change adoption.

Willing and able to travel to international manufacturing partners (can be up to 2 weeks at a time)

B.Sc. in computer science or equivalent major

5+ years of experience in relevant fields

Minimum Qualifications

3+ years of technical program or project management for large-scale Infrastructure projects.

Deeply understands architecture and integration points of application sets to support process, products, configuration, policies that takes into consideration the needs of supply chains, data centers and global contract manufacturing sites.

Proven track record and technical knowledge in infrastructure delivery (data stores, storage compute, network), DevOps, SRE, and/or software engineering.

Readily learns and adopts new technologies. Knowledge of DevOps, continuous delivery, Splunk, AWS services like S3, hosting components such as Netscalers, OS, servers, storage, databases, backup, load balancers, DMZ, WAF, networking, Citrix, VMWare, Linux etc,.
