Engineering Program Manager, Commerce UI, Apple Services Engineering
The Apple Services Engineering team is one of the most exciting examples of Apple's long-held passion for combining art and technology! These are the people who power the App Store, Apple TV, Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, Fitness+ and Apple Books. And they do it on a massive scale, meeting Apple's high expectations with high performance to deliver a huge variety of entertainment in over 35 languages to more than 150 countries!
On this team, we work closely with the Commerce UI Web team to drive cross functional projects across Apple's Services areas. We lead larger initiatives that make engaging with subscription and purchase/purchase management more initiative for customers. And we drive coordination across web for multiple impacted client teams for shared platform improvements.
Description
Drive Program Execution: Lead large-scale, cross-functional engineering programs in the video advertising space from conception to launch. Develop and manage project plans, define scope, track progress, and manage timelines and dependencies.
Lead a team of high performing EPMs: Lead, grow, and mentor a team of EPMs that are responsible for delivering our most important, and cross-functional product & engineering initiatives. Beyond providing guidance and coaching your team to bring the best out of them, you will also be deeply involved in their projects, capable of stepping in and unblocking them when they face unforeseen challenges.
Build and Manage Relationships with Stakeholders: Act as the central point of contact for video advertising programs. Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across engineering, product, sales, and operations to ensure alignment and smooth execution.
Communicate with Impact: Provide clear, concise, and regular communication on program status, risks, and changes to stakeholders at all levels, from individual engineers to executive leadership. Your written and verbal communication will be critical to our success.
Navigate Ambiguity: Thrive in a dynamic and often ambiguous environment where you are empowered to define project goals, identify the path forward, and create structure where none exists.
Manage Vendors: Manage relationships and technical integrations with third-party ad tech vendors (e.g., ad insertion, campaign management, measurement). Oversee vendor evaluations, contract negotiations, and integration projects to ensure they meet our technical and business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong verbal and written communication skills, including negotiation, presentation and influence at all levels including executive leadership.
Strong desire to learn, skills for problem solving, and the ability to make sophisticated trade-offs.
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
Proven technical aptitude, you quickly learn key technologies related to your initiatives and beyond.
Minimum Qualifications
Direct experience in and deep familiarity with the web UI and online payment method architecture ecosystems.
8+ years of experience managing complex, cross-functional projects in a large engineering organization accountable for the development and deployment of applications and services at scale.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
