The Field Diagnostics Engineering team builds the hardware and software diagnostic solutions that support field repair technicians and enhance the Apple customer ownership experience. In this role, you will lead a high-performing team to deliver these critical solutions and drive innovation within AppleCare.

As the Engineering Manager for Field Diagnostics Engineering, you will lead a team that has proven itself by delivering high-quality hardware and software diagnostic solutions. You will build and nurture partnerships with cross-functional teams both within and outside of AppleCare. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with macOS or iOS system architecture, including security models.
Knowledge of CPUs, GPUs, and SoCs.
Experience with field diagnostics, manufacturing, or repair workflows.
Experience with diagnostics, logging, telemetry, or observability systems.
Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
Focus on execution, quality, and reliability, with a track record of delivering complex systems.
Communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to cross-functional teams and leaders.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
10+ years of experience in software development, with 4+ years in an engineering management role.
Experience programming in macOS or iOS ecosystems (Swift/Objective-C), including building and debugging system or application-level software.
Experience with computer architecture and hardware/software interactions.","internalDetails":null
Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $228,100 and $342,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
