Description
Apple is seeking a talented and resourceful attorney to join our team as Counsel in the Marketing and Communications Legal Group. In this role, you will serve as production counsel for Apple's Corporate Communications content channels, including @helloapple and Newsroom, providing real-time legal guidance across a high volume of editorial and creator-driven content produced in a fast-paced environment. You will advise on all legal aspects of content production, including on-demand risk assessments, talent and creator engagements, and content licensing and clearances for original storytelling franchises. Your responsibilities will include drafting, negotiating, and reviewing production-related agreements, developing scalable risk frameworks for fast-turnaround content, and partnering directly with producers and creatives to enable content that tells Apple's story. You will also provide legal support for broader Corporate Communications initiatives.
Preferred Qualifications
Positive, solutions-oriented disposition with composure under pressure and strong executive presence.
Expertise in negotiating and drafting a wide range of content production agreements.
Knowledge of FTC Endorsement Guides, advertising disclosure requirements, and consumer protection regulations applicable to branded and editorial content.
Impeccable judgment and an eye for thinking beyond the issue at hand to the broader picture.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
Strong understanding of intellectual property law as applied to marketing and corporate communications content.
Experience working with international legal frameworks and advising on cross-border marketing campaigns.
History of developing and delivering training programs to business partners on legal topics.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage a high volume of projects.
Minimum Qualifications
4+ years of experience practicing law at a technology company, commercial agency, entertainment studio or network, and/or law firm.
2+ years of experience advising on content production or marketing legal issues.
Vested interest and understanding of social media platforms, their rapid evolution, and related impacts on brands and creators.
Experience with creator engagements and related legal and regulatory frameworks.
Comfort advising on legal issues in high-volume, fast-paced content production environments under strict deadlines.
Proven ability to identify and assess production and clearance legal risks quickly and develop practical and effective mitigation strategies.
JD degree or equivalent and admission to at least one US state bar.","internalDetails":null

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $200,700 and $301,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
