Description

This is a full-time on-site process integration development engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and integrating processes in a semiconductor wafer research facility to make novel devices. The person will ensure that experiments are implemented according to plan and that data are accurately collected and analyzed. The person will participate in interpreting data in order to determine next steps towards a process that delivers the required device performance, process efficiency, and process yield and potential transfer of process to partners.","responsibilities":"Substantial day-to-day responsibilities in the process development fabrication facility

Developing process integration flows, defining unit process requirements for module engineering and working closely with multi-functional team members to deliver these novel device configurations

Maintain split charts, wafer process traceability and partner with multi-functional team to interpret the data

Work with technicians, operators and other process engineers every day

Work with multi-functional development teams with engineers with wafer fab, device testing, and product engineering roles

Preferred Qualifications

PhD in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering

5+ years of experience with process integration of compound semiconductor devices

Broad knowledge of material and device physics of compound semiconductors

Demonstrated capability of developing novel integration process flows including mask design, layout

Excellent critical analysis, statistical analysis, and reasoning skills

Ability to work independently and in teams

Experience with querying databases with Python code

Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry or related fields

3+ years hands on semiconductor process integration experience

3+ years of working in clean room facility managing wafer design of experiments and processing

3+ years of experience with failure analysis characterization techniques like SIMS, AFM, SEM, TEM, XRD

Experience with data analysis tools and principles of statistically designed experimentation (JMP, Matlab, Excel, Stat-Ease, etc.)
