Claris Developer Advocate
At Claris, an Apple company, we believe developers change the world when they're empowered to learn, connect, and create together. Our global developer community is one of the most established and passionate in the industry, and it's central to our success.
We're looking for a Developer Advocate to be a trusted, technical voice for developers building on the Claris platform. You'll create and deliver technical content, demos, and tutorials that help developers grow from their first project to advanced, ambitious builds. You'll maintain a consistent presence across live events, video platforms, and external conferences, and you'll act as a channel between the developer community and our product and engineering teams - surfacing feedback, coordinating launch-ready content, and ensuring developers are informed and inspired as new capabilities ship.
Description
Working closely with Product Marketing, the Community & Learning team, and the broader Marcom and GTM teams, you'll help create a cohesive, high-impact experience that deepens engagement and strengthens the Claris developer ecosystem. If you're passionate about technical storytelling, building developer trust, and helping others succeed with the platform, we'd love to meet you.
Responsibilities:
Produce and maintain a consistent cadence of technically accurate presentations, demos, and tutorials showcasing current Claris platform capabilities.
Design progressive learning paths from entry-level to advanced that build developer skills and confidence to create ambitious solutions.
Synthesize community feedback into actionable insights for product and engineering teams while partnering with Product Marketing on launch readiness.
Cultivate trusted developer relationships through an active, intentional presence across live events, video channels, and conferences.
Conduct structured developer research-via surveys, interviews, and sentiment analysis-partnering cross-functionally to deliver well-timed, impactful content.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to translate community/developer feedback into clear written input for product and engineering teams
Ability to leverage approved AI tools to improve efficiency and insights while maintaining Apple's standards for data privacy and security
Experience creating content shared on social media or community platforms (e.g., YouTube, forums, developer communities)
Comfortable working independently and maintaining a recurring content/event cadence without close oversight
Background in developer relations, technical evangelism, or community-facing roles
Experience conducting or coordinating developer research (surveys, interviews, community analysis)
Familiarity with content planning around product release cycles
Minimum Qualifications
7+ years of hands-on experience with the Claris FileMaker platform
Exceptional communicator and storyteller able to make complex technical concepts simple and engaging for audiences ranging from beginner to advanced developers, comfortable presenting live, on camera, and under pressure
