Claris Business Development Manager
Claris is seeking an entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to help build and grow the Claris integration and AI-Powered product lines. This is an opportunity for a self-starter who is energized by identifying real business problems, crafting professional business cases, and presenting compelling value propositions to decision makers. This role combines problem solving, relationship building, and direct enterprise sales execution.
Description
You will have a proven track record of managing enterprise sales cycles while building and nurturing strategic business partner relationships that create mutual value and competitive advantage. You will be responsible for executing go-to-market motions for Claris Connect - the Claris data integration platform used by K-12 schools to connect student roster systems with Apple School Manager. You will be working with strategic Claris partners to deploy Claris AI-powered product lines within key accounts. You will develop industry-specific business cases, build and present live demos to the C-Suite, and cultivate the kind of trusted relationships that create long-term value across the Apple and partner ecosystems.","responsibilities":"Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities for both products across education, government, and enterprise markets

Develop vertical-specific use cases, demos, and ROI narratives tailored to CIOs, CFOs, COOs, and other executive buyers - with minimal support from engineering or product teams
Drive pipeline from first conversation through close, managing complex multi-stakeholder sales cycles
Identify new industries and customer segments where Claris addresses a genuine and urgent pain point, and build the internal business case for entering them
Represent Claris at industry conferences and summits, including presenting to large audiences on behalf of the platform
Cultivate and maintain a strong network across Apple's education, enterprise, and partner-facing divisions
Preferred Qualifications
7+ years of business development or enterprise software sales experience, with a consistent track record of exceeding targets
Deep expertise across two or more of the following markets: K-12 education, higher education, government, or enterprise
Proven ability to command large audiences and C-suite conversations with executive-level credibility and polish
Strong technical fluency - comfortable holding substantive conversations with CIOs and their teams, and capable of independently building working demos and use cases
Exceptional discovery instincts - able to uncover business problems and frame solutions in ways that create genuine urgency
Flexibility and enthusiasm for travel to support customer meetings, field engagements, and industry events
Minimum Qualifications
5+ years of business development or enterprise software sales experience
Demonstrated experience working within at least two of the following three markets: K-12 or higher education, government, enterprise
Demonstrated ability to present to large audiences and C-suite executives with confidence and credibility
Technical fluency sufficient to carry a substantive conversation with a CIO and their technical staff, and to build working demos and use cases independently
Strong discovery skills - the ability to identify business problems and connect these problems to a solution in a way that creates urgency
Willingness to travel for customer meetings, field team engagements, and industry events

Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $151,700 and $228,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
