Description
The Wireless Technologies and Ecosystems (WTE) team is looking for a highly motivated and creative Cellular Power Optimization Engineering Manager to work on our next generation products. The duties for this position will include defining the software architecture/design for the frameworks that automate power, performance, thermal testing, and measurement. This position will also be responsible for managing an engineering team that will provide weekly comprehensive summaries to executives and relevant stakeholders on the power and performance metrics of Apple cellular platforms.","responsibilities":"Manage engineering resources to meet Apple's power targets for cellular products.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve power and thermal targets.
Analyze modem logs to participate in power analysis and debugging for power regressions.
Expand the use cases for existing power and thermal KPIs.
Discuss and define SoC cellular test cases for 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G RAT technologies in a cross-functional team setting with system, firmware, and other relevant cellular software teams.
Debug and analyze complex embedded system-level issues related to functionality, power, and performance on cellular platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
Strong expertise in design and implementation of modem power management drivers
Hands-on experience in debugging of modem products.
Excellent spoken and written communication skills are essential.
Strong analytical thinking, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently are also crucial.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of experience in modem power management system/SW architecture & power flows.
3+ years of experience managing a Software Engineering team.
Experience with Linux, macOS systems, and command-line tools.
Familiarity with lab equipment like oscilloscopes and multimeters is beneficial.
