Camera Performance Manager

Yesterday Cupertino, CA

Apple is looking for an engineering manager to manage the Camera performance team in the software organization. In this role, you'll lead the team which works to deliver fast and fluid camera experiences across the product ecosystem, bringing prior expertise in software optimization to bear on a unique opportunity to collaborate with hardware and software groups across Apple.

In order to deliver experiences which fully exploit Apple's cutting edge hardware and software, the ideal candidate will combine a deep knowledge of operating systems and computer architecture with a passion for performance and optimization, previous experience in leading engineering teams with an ability to develop and mentor engineers, and an aptitude for building relationships both within and outside of their immediate organization.

Description

The Camera performance team works cross-functionally to optimize and sustain the camera experience for both next-generation and existing products. You'll have the unique opportunity to collaborate with a broad set of technology partners, for example: our silicon group to influence future chip designs, the design group to evaluate the performance implications of UI choices, and camera hardware designers to understand thermal implications of future camera technologies, to name just a few.
