Apple is looking for a multifaceted, highly motivated Business Manager to join the Worldwide Product Marketing (WWPM) Finance team supporting AI. This is a rare opportunity to provide the financial lens to one of the most dynamic and rapidly evolving areas of Apple's product roadmap. As the Business Manager for AI, you will collaborate across an exceptionally broad set of partners - from Product Marketing to Services, Engineering, Infrastructure, and beyond - and have direct exposure to the highest levels of decision making at Apple.

We're looking for a true finance athlete: someone who can context switch with ease, ramp quickly on unfamiliar topics, and operate effectively across a wide range of teams and problem types. The lean structure of Business Management fosters high business ownership and offers a unique platform to influence strategic decisions at Apple from product concept to launch.

Description

Influence and drive business and product decisions for Apple's AI roadmap in cross-functional partnership with Product Marketing Managers, Services, Engineering, Infrastructure, Operations, Finance, Customer Analytics, Sales and Market Research

Advise on business model opportunities, feature arbitration, and line-up decisions with business analyses considering revenue, cost, and margin implications by integrating a multitude of varied data sources

Partner closely with Engineering and Infrastructure teams to understand the cost drivers behind AI features and translate technical complexity into clear financial insight

Collaborate with the Services team to align on shared business questions, ensuring AI-related decisions are evaluated holistically across the Apple ecosystem

Absorb and dissect usage trends, customer activation trends, buyer surveys, external market research, and technical performance benchmarks to inform product and business strategy

Integrate various datasets to create, present, and defend demand forecasts, scenarios, and other business insights to senior leadership

Support stealth investigations, special projects, and ad-hoc requests for senior Apple leadership

Preferred Qualifications

A true finance athlete - adaptable, agile, and able to context switch seamlessly across multiple workstreams, business areas, and stakeholder groups

Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally across a broad and varied set of partners, including Product Marketing, Services, Engineering, Infrastructure, and other technical teams

Comfort navigating product, engineering, and infrastructure topics with a keen interest to ramp quickly on new and unfamiliar technical content

Deep passion for Apple's products and mission, and a genuine interest in AI and its implications for Apple's business

Ability to work comfortably under ambiguity to deliver fully developed and well-reasoned analyses

Strong and structured communicator, able to distill complexity for a wide range of audiences

Ownership mindset and high agency to take a proactive role in leading project work-streams from end-to-end

Strong attention to detail and the ability to "see around corners"

High proficiency in Excel modeling, with strong competency (or aptitude to learn) in SQL, Tableau, R, and Python

Adept at managing senior stakeholder relationships across both finance and non-finance partners

Minimum Qualifications

4+ years of experience in a highly analytical role with frequent exposure to business case and scenario modeling

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or another quantitative field

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $137,900 and $207,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
