Apps Accessibility Software Engineer

Description
This is a highly cross-functional position that requires attention to detail and effective communication. You'll get to work on several of Apple's first and second party applications and be exposed to a wide variety of programming styles.
On a typical day, you'll be writing code that improves the accessibility of one of Apple's applications. You'll frequently need to work with other people throughout the company so clear, effective communication and the ability to stay organized is key to your success. Our priorities can-and do-change, which means you'll need to be flexible and work well in a changing environment.
All of your hard work will help to ensure that the applications used by millions of people every day enrich the lives of every single user, no matter their need.
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding of user-centered accessibility design principles
Demonstrated experience implementing accessible solutions
Experience with Apple's accessibility frameworks
Minimum Qualifications
1+ year of Objective-C, C++, C and/or Swift
1+ year Proficiency with algorithms, data structures, and performance optimization
Proficiency in debugging skills using Xcode and lldb
Excitement and passion to build software that makes a tangible difference in peoples' lives
Strong personal responsibility and drive for continual self-improvement
Excellent communication and collaborative skills
Ability to achieve great results with only high-level direction
Bachelor of Computer Science or related degree

Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
