Audio & Media Technologies (AMT) group at Apple provides the media and graphics foundation across all of Apple's creative products, including iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple TV, iTunes, and macOS. We are looking for a Quality Automation Engineer who can work and provide towards the automation and testing of Apple AirPlay technologies in the Media QE team. In this role, you will be responsible for qualifying features and releases, develop and maintain automation using python frameworks and implement tests for new AirPlay features using an understanding of network and media streaming technologies.

Description
You will ensure our AirPlay features like Whole Home Audio, Home Theater etc. is delivered with the highest quality AirPlay experience using iPhone, Mac, HomePod, Apple TV, and third-party receivers. You will work very closely with development and multi-functional teams to ensure AirPlay quality and performance is of the highest level. You will cover a broad span of test areas involving functional, performance, and reliability testing. Responsibilities of this role will include manual and automated testing, writing automated test cases, triage of issues, reporting on project progress, and risk analysis.","responsibilities":"Drive comprehensive testing of new features from early design phases through product launch and customer delivery
Create detailed test plans, test cases, and testing strategies for feature development and ongoing validation
Implement functional, performance, longevity, and reliability testing across all supported hardware configurations and triage test failures
Collaborate with engineering teams and other multi-functional teams to understand feature requirements and identify potential risk areas
Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionality remains stable with new releases and updates
Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and end-to-end tests to deliver quick, effective, and repeatable testing
Provide clear, actionable status reports to collaborators at all levels and create comprehensive test reports with risk assessments for product releases
Preferred Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work accordingly
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or practical experience
Proficient in development of new test automation using Python
Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
Strong QA/testing knowledge & experience
Familiarity with iOS, Mac OS X, and Unix
