Americas Logistics DC Operations Manager
AMR Logistics Operations is a fast-moving and dynamic environment where flexibility and adaptability are key attributes required for success. The Distribution Center (DC) Operations manager leads a team that optimizes operations throughout the North American network of third party logistics provider (3PL) run DCs fulfilling every route to market. The ideal candidate blends strategic planning with tactical execution to drive key initiatives including: Customer Delight, Process Excellence (Precision), Cost Leadership, Environmental Sustainability, and Continuous Improvement. This leader must operate with a lean mindset, identifying systemic friction points, eliminating waste, and building scalable solutions that optimize the network.

Description
This position requires a deep understanding of Apple's DC network operations and the intersection with inbound and outbound transportation. The candidate must be able to work cross-functionally to identify opportunities that improve speed and customer satisfaction while minimizing costs. This requires expertise in industry best practices and data analytics to quantify the opportunities and implement solutions. You will need to manage a network that must scale to peak volumes that may or may not be planned and work with 3PLs to build capabilities to support this.

Responsibilities:
Build, lead, and develop a team of high performing regional/central supplier managers and program managers that support day-to-day operations and strategic initiatives.
Develop close partnerships with DC capacity planning, inbound & outbound transportation teams, and other cross-functional teams who rely on us to ship finished goods products fast and with high quality.
Manage the relationship with 3PL executive and on-site leadership to support Apple priorities and drive 3PL to meet and exceed key metrics. .
Identify logistics areas for process improvement, speed, and cost savings. Continuously focus on building new capabilities across our network that improve the customer experience (both internal and external customers).
Develop and implement long term strategies around the DC and logistics supply chain. Lead long term projects to support the strategy and improve the supply chain.
Identify data reporting gaps and drive solutions to close them to allow the team to make data driven decisions that improve network operations. Drive AI enabled solutions that enable great decisions.
Lead capital planning and expense management, prioritizing investments, tracking spend, and holding suppliers accountable to budget commitments
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree (MS or MBA) preferred
Experience working with 3PL logistics providers preferred but not required.
Ability to maintain poise and a positive attitude in a challenging, fast-paced, rapidly changing environment.
Proven process improvement skills with natural curiosity and desire to understand how things work.
Strong program management & leadership skills with an understanding of lean principles in operations management.
Strong work ethic with a high degree of flexibility.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally and build relationships in a dynamic environment.
Comfort with ambiguity.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field required.
A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations management with demonstrated growth in scope and leadership responsibility.
People management experience with demonstrated success building high performing teams.
