AirPrint Engineering Manager
The AirPrint team builds technologies and infrastructure that make printing simple, secure, and just work. These technologies are at the center of what makes Apple the best platform for photography, desktop publishing, and creative visual design. The team is seeking a hands-on, technically focused Software Engineering leader that can build on a strong foundation and deliver new features and functionality.
Description
The AirPrint Software Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading a team engineers delivering new software features, security updates, and bug fixes across macOS, iOS, and VisionOS. This position requires a self-motivated individual with strong technical, communication, and project management skills to handle responsibilities that include:
- Driving software development via architecture discussions, coding, and code reviews
- Defining product features, functional specs, resource planning, and development schedules
- Scoping and prioritizing of features and bug fixes
- Representing the team and its technology in technical and project meetings
- Advising and encouraging engineering best practices to deliver quality features","responsibilities":"Help define technical priorities, product features, functional specs, and resource planning

Preferred Qualifications
More than 5 years experience Managing and Leading software engineering teams
Experience coding in C/C++/Objective-C
Experience working with networking systems
Experience working with external consumer electronics companies
Minimum Qualifications
5 years experience in a leadership role managing Software Engineering teams
5 years experience in software development in C/C++
Technical experience designing and implementing OS-level software and systems
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Pay & Benefits
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $198,300 and $342,800, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
