We are looking for an expert developer in media networking technologies who is looking to bring immersive sonic experiences to our billions of users. The AirPlay Audio team is looking for an expert developer in media networking technologies and layered system software who, with these skills, will be working to fill our user's lives with immersive audio, pushing the boundaries of media distribution and sonic experiences. As an expert in media protocols like RTP, you will develop and ship new technologies and features for sending audio amongst iPhones, Macs, iPads, HomePods, AppleTVs, and the rich AirPlay speaker ecosystem. You will work with networking, WiFi and hardware teams to ensure the most efficient and highest quality distribution can be achieved. Integrate and maintain these protocols in AirPlay Audio's ecosystem
Strategize with Networking, WiFi, Hardware and other cross-functional partners on achieve best possible performance and reliability
Work with Test and Quality Engineering to ensure highest quality of deliverables
Continuously look for ways to improve the efficiency and processes of the team
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in audio and other media programming
Experience debugging problems in a highly concurrent environment
Experience with using and developing media libraries especially for mobile platforms
Leadership and mentoring experience
Experience with data analytics and visualization tools like Splunk
Minimum Qualifications
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
Expertises in network media protocol expertise like RTP and RTCP
Experience with congestion control algorithms and techniques
C or C++
Multithreading and System Software
