What You'll Be Doing:
- Leads the coordination and execution of all technical activities throughout the lifecycle of a sales opportunity, e.g. technical discovery, negotiation of technical success criteria, product presentations, demonstrations, and evaluations. Works independently, results-oriented, across teams and organizations.
- Working closely with Federal Aerospace & Defense customers to understand their needs.
- As a credible hands-on expert in the customer's application, you will work with customers to better understand their product development requirements and what they need to improve their performance metrics. You will address application-specific design and simulation requirements by utilizing the relevant product technologies and platforms that best meet the customer's needs. You will internalize the value proposition and convince the customer of the compelling reasons to use Synopsys tools.
- Support the development of differentiating simulation solutions using the Ansys platform and our products; implement our Ansys solutions into your customers' design workflows. Expand your expertise and become a recognized expert in your field of application.
- Collaborate with Product Development to translate customer requirements into new product features; participate in the testing of new Ansys product releases, develop application best practices.
- Support the Field and Digital Marketing team by developing promotional materials and supporting events, author conference presentations.
- Contribute to and lead professional service deliveries and conduct training classes.

What You'll Need:
- Required education and degree type: BS or MS or PhD in Mechanical or Aerospace, or related field
- Required minimum years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: BS+5, MS+3, or PhD+0
- Two years of hands-on experience in FEA modeling using commercial CAE tools like Ansys Mechanical/ LS-DYNA or other similar products
- Strong fundamentals in structural mechanics and continuum mechanics
- Logical problem-solving, strong interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in writing and speaking English
- Strong organizational and time management skills, possess a sense of urgency
- Projects a professional image and demonstrates business acumen, driven to succeed
- Ability to travel domestically up to 25% of time
- Basic understanding of AI/ML algorithms
- Scripting experience in Python/C++
