You Are:
You are a passionate engineering professional with a deep understanding of structural mechanics and simulation-driven product development. With a strong academic background in Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field, you have honed your expertise through years of hands-on experience in the engineering software industry, particularly within the Aerospace & Defense sector. You thrive in collaborative, multidisciplinary environments and are eager to serve as a trusted advisor for both internal teams and external customers.
Your technical proficiency is matched by your ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively, in both English and German. You take pride in delivering innovative solutions that address real-world challenges, leveraging your advanced knowledge of Ansys or similar CAE tools. What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead and coordinate all technical activities throughout the sales cycle, including discovery, technical negotiations, product demonstrations, and evaluations.
- Engage directly with customers to understand their product development requirements and provide expert guidance on utilizing Ansys solutions to achieve superior performance metrics.
- Develop and deliver professional services, including training sessions and hands-on workshops, to enhance customer productivity and adoption of simulation methodologies.
- Collaborate with product development teams to translate customer needs into new features and participate in testing and validation of new software releases.
- Support marketing initiatives by creating promotional materials, authoring conference presentations, and participating in industry events.
- Contribute to the development of application best practices and lead the implementation of Ansys solutions into customer design workflows.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, providing technical mentorship to colleagues and customers, and staying current with advancements in structural mechanics and simulation technology.

What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Mechanical, Chemical, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years (BS), 3 years (MS), or relevant (PhD) professional experience in an engineering software environment.
- In-depth experience with Ansys or equivalent CAE, CAD, EDA, or PLM software packages.
- Proven expertise in Mechanical Linear and Nonlinear Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
- Fluency in English and German, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience (2+ years) in the Aerospace & Defense industry as a simulation engineer.
- Some experience accumulated on Automation and Scripting (Python preferred)
- Ability to travel up to 25% (and potentially up to 50%) of the time.
