Lead Program Manager

Summary / Role Purpose
The program manager is responsible for stewarding critical enterprise investments and driving the delivery of strategic and transformational change by providing leadership and direction to assigned programs for Ansys Structures products.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide overall program leadership, guidance, and manage all aspects of large, complex programs, including requirements gathering, business case creation, and implementation
- Provide steady leadership in the face of uncertainty, change, and aggressive deadlines common to a rapidly growing company with an evolving business model
- Manage overall program risks and oversee respective mitigation strategies
- Develop resourcing strategies to ensure optimum support for projects and for the day-to-day operational activities
- Proactively set performance expectations and manage expectations of delivery and requirements, yielding consistent results
- Review program budget variance and scope change requests, and participate in the budget-resolution process
- Ensure that the scope of the projects within the program align with business priorities
- Manage program-level risks and interdependencies
- Promote collaboration and coordination across broad categories of stakeholders
- Lead cross-functional meetings and foster teamwork; drive escalation and resolution of issues
- Support, coach and mentor team members
- Provide technical expertise in planning, execution, and leadership of program, projects, and initiatives
- Directly facilitate program steering committee meetings and conduct periodic briefings/status updates to various levels of the organization for assigned areas
Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience
- Bachelor's degree
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
- A minimum of 8 years of project management experience including large-scale complex projects OR equivalent management experience
- Strong leadership skills within a matrix organizational structure, along with mature business acumen and industry knowledge <
