What You'll Be Doing:
- Assume and execute tasks assigned to you by your direct manager or senior team members and support requested technical activities throughout the lifecycle of an opportunity, e.g. technical discovery, product presentations, demonstrations , evaluations, and consulting delivery. Proactively seek advice if you get stuck.
- As application engineer leveraging one or more Ansys products, you will work with customers to better understand their product development requirements and how they work. You will learn general application-specific design and simulation workflows. You will analyze and research how Ansys products and platforms can best meet customer requirements and internalize our value proposition.
- Support the Field and Digital Marketing team by developing promotional materials and supporting events.
- Provide product and application training and participate in the delivery of professional services for projects, which may include working with other engineers from the same or other disciplines.
- Understand the development of new product functions and features to meet customer requirements and participate in the application testing of these new product functions.
- Actively contribute to internal company knowledge sharing initiatives and embrace the culture of codifying and creating best practices within a technical discipline and across disciplines.

What You'll Need:
- MS in Structural Mechanics Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Methods Engineering or related field, or PhD.
- Minimum years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: MS+0 (Preferred education and years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: MS+3, or PhD+0 )
- Demonstrated use of relevant Ansys software or knowledge of other commercial CAE, CAD, EDA, PLM software packages
- Logical problem-solving, strong interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in writing and speaking English
- Strong organizational and time management skills. Possesses a sense of urgency
- Projects a professional image and demonstrates business acumen, driven to succeed
- Ability to travel domestically up to 25% of time
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Structural and Topology Optimization
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Additive Manufacturing, Casting, and Manufacturing Methods.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in material modeling
- Industrial experience is preferred
- Fluency in French is preferred.
