Financial Planning Vice President (Onsite)

These (2) Vice President roles are executive leadership positions responsible for enterprise-wide profit and growth planning and comprehensive enterprise expense management. Core leadership expectations include enterprise target setting, cost and expense governance, budgeting/forecasting, management reporting, performance management, and strategic analytics support across the organization.

Primary Accountabilities:

  • You will provide leadership with clear, accurate, time bound, and reliable financial information and data.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders for consultation on drivers of expenses.
  • You will provide informative and user-friendly budgets by creating and implementing planning and reporting processes.
  • You will provide financial consulting, including financial implications of decision alternatives; develop and apply appropriate financial analysis tools and techniques to all levels of management.
  • Lead and/or support integration of strategic planning (as applicable to the enterprise portfolio).
  • You will provide oversight for and consolidate analyses across planning, expense, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and performance management (as applicable).
  • You will drive enterprise target setting and expense-related strategic analytics support (as applicable).

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including people and project management.
  • Significant experience influencing and serving as a change catalyst.
  • Demonstrated experience counseling, consulting, and negotiating in order to guide strategic business decisions across all levels of management.
  • Must be able to think creatively and innovatively.
  • Utilize organizational and industry knowledge to identify problems and opportunities.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of technical infrastructure, application development, and related technologies (may be required depending on whether Expense Management/strategic analytics scope includes technology cost domains).

Travel Requirements
  • This position requires travel up to 10% of the time.

Ideal candidates will bring significant experience within Property and Casualty industry preferably within Personal Lines, Commercial Lines and Portfolio planning.

Experience with modeling tools (Anaplan) is preferred.

Preferred candidates will have comprehensive financial planning experience spanning both agency channels as well as direct-to- consumer distribution channels.

In this primarily office-based role, you will be expected to spend at least 80% of your time (4+ days per week) working from the office. Candidates should reside within approximately 35-50 miles of one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783 or Boston, MA 02110.
