External Life Advisor - Life Wholesaler (Primarily Home)

You will identify strategies and opportunities to help protect more customers with life insurance through different distribution models. Perform joint sales calls with agents, coach agents on best practices, deliver expertise in group settings.

You will report to a Senior Manager, External Distribution - Licensed (Life).

In this primarily home-based role, you will spend 80% of your time (4+ days per week) working from home. You must reside in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, or Ohio. You may occasionally be asked to travel to an office location for in person engagement activities such as team meetings, trainings, and culture events.

Position Compensation Range:
$80,000.00 - $131,000.00

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographic work location. Relocation support is offered for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop sales strategies designed to increase the sales success of the field sales team and enhance the experience of customers.
  • Communicate product sales opportunities and strategies and product or procedure enhancements.
  • Help design and implement life company programs to increase life sales with distribution partners.
  • Analyze geographic region to identify trends and potential areas of strength and opportunity. Identify unarticulated expectations and present unsolicited proposals to help leaders achieve our goals.
  • Provide recommendations or solutions when working with distribution partners.
  • Work with assigned state leadership teams to develop sales state life plans.
  • Provide prospecting, sales skill and product knowledge coaching. Assist agents with reviewing their book of business to identify immediate and potential sales opportunities.
  • Provide product information, customer planning solutions and sales assistance. Have knowledge to illustrate and position our products in a creative way.

Requirements:
  • You will bring prior experience working with insurance agents.
  • Internal drive to succeed in a competitive environment.
  • Outstanding sales experience, experience communicating product benefits appropriate for each prospect, and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Interpersonal skills and experience growing business.
  • Your offer will be made contingent on the results of applicable background checks and signing a non-disclosure agreement for proprietary information, trade secrets, and inventions.

Licenses:
  • Must have or obtain proper Life insurance license within three months of hire. License maintenance and continuing education required.
  • You must obtain one of these designations within 3-years: CLU, ChFC or CFP.
  • Resident Life license within 30 days of hire.
  • Non-resident Life license within 90 days of hire.
  • Valid driver's license required plus an acceptable driving record.

Travel Requirements:
  • Up to 10%.
Working Conditions:
  • Work that involves sitting/standing.
