The Financial Analyst will join the Finance Analysis CBA Unit, a group that plays a critical role in shaping the future of American Family Insurance. The team partners closely with the Transformation team, operational finance groups, and stakeholders across the enterprise to lead comprehensive Cost Benefit Analyses (CBA) for all projects and discretionary investments, ensuring strategic and financially sound decision-making. Operating at the intersection of consulting and financial analysis, you will collaborate extensively with business partners-solving complex problems, building strong relationships, gathering and assessing data, and developing robust financial models. You will be responsible for constructing CBAs, evaluating financial impacts, and interpreting key financial metrics to drive enterprise value. You will report to the Manager, Corporate FP&A
In this flex office/home role, you will be expected to work a minimum of 10 days per month from one of the following office locations: Madison, WI 53783; Boston, MA 02110; Denver, CO 80112; Eden Prairie, MN 55343; Keene, NH 03431; St. Joseph, MO 64507; Phoenix, AZ 85034

Key Responsibilities:
- You will conduct project finance analysis to help a unique area of the business determine which projects are most accretive to the organization and align with enterprise strategy.
- You will partner with a unique area of the business to forecast budgets for all expenses and estimate the timing and magnitude of expected benefits.
- You will prepare and deliver regular reporting, including variance analysis, on project financials and performance metrics.
- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, validate assumptions, and ensure alignment with financial objectives.
- You will support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed.
- You will synthesize financial information and communicate insights to both finance and non-finance audiences.
- You will proactively solve problems in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- You will demonstrate a c ommitment to accuracy, attention to detail, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Proficiency with financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or similar).
- Strong financial acumen, with the ability to analyze complex data and present clear, actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations and adapt to changing priorities.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to partnering with business stakeholders.
