Senior Software Engineer (.NET Backend) - Integon

Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (.NET Backend) with a strong background in C#/.NET backend development to join a collaborative team focused on modernizing enterprise applications. This role is primarily centered on backend and middle-tier development, building APIs, processing data, and supporting critical business workflows.

The ideal candidate is passionate about software development, enjoys solving complex technical problems, and is interested in learning modern technologies such as containerization and Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Provides input into the architecture and design of the product; collaborating with the team in solving problems the right way
• Practices daily paired programming and test-driven development in writing software and building product
• Participates in executing the strategy, keeping the customer needs and wants in mind
• Serves as an expert on a specific business domain and demonstrates leadership and accountability on at least one technology stack
• Coaches more junior team members around different technologies and XP practices
• Establishes continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment pipelines and practices
• Provides support for software products in user environments
• Leads and participates in daily site, cross-site, and product team standups
• Participates in retrospectives to gather feedback and derive actionable items to improve the team and the product
• Participates in iteration planning meetings ensuring that the team has a common understanding of each story and chores in a team's backlog
• Participate in application modernization initiatives, including containerization and Kubernetes migration.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Owners, and Software Engineers in an Agile environment.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to software quality improvements.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues when necessary.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development practices and technical solutions.

• 5+ years of experience developing applications using C# and .NET.
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including writing complex SQL queries and data analysis.
• Experience developing REST APIs and backend services.
• Experience using Git for source control.
• Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
• Advanced English communication skills.

• Experience with Docker and containerization technologies.
• Experience working with Kubernetes.
• Experience with Blazor and/or Angular.
• Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and pair programming.

• 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

• +5 or more years of experience (Preferred)
