Job Description
The purpose of this role is to develop and drive solutions forward that allow our organization to reach its goals by partnering with technology, business stakeholders, and user experience. You will be the key bridge between business and technology stakeholders to both uncover and drive the change forward. This role requires somebody who can evaluate and uncover current opportunities, influence and lead the strategic development of a solution, and drive the development and implementation of the solution alongside our tech, business and user experience partners. This role requires somebody who is not afraid to work in the gray, can think strategically, is extremely collaborative and is passionate about pushing the boundaries of how things are done today.

The incumbent is responsible for leading and delivering complex Policy and Legislative Planning (PLP) initiatives. The role provides strategic oversight of largescale modernization, policy, and technology transformation initiatives. The position ensures effective workload distribution, operational continuity, and risk mitigation across the portfolio while supporting organizational priorities and sustainable delivery.

Accountabilities:

  • Translating business requirements into technical specifications and guiding the implementation of initiative, operating at the capability-level, in support of broader platforms, and developing functional systems flow to ensure the efficacy of new capabilities.
  • Guide the implementation of the initiative, collaborating with stakeholders to align business strategies with technology solutions, working with other product owners to ensure integration between capabilities within a platform.
  • Use customer feedback, detailed market analysis, and data gathering to provide recommendations on decisions about product strategy and iterations
  • Engage in discovery/test and learn activities to quickly validate assumptions and capability or solution direction to achieve business results.
  • Lead discovery and framing sessions to define business problems, root causes, and expected outcomes
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and Digital Product Managers (DPMs) to align business strategies with technology solutions and ensure successful integration
  • Develop and maintain business architecture frameworks including capability models, process workflows, and value streams
  • Support business readiness activities including stakeholder communications, training, and change enablement
  • Participate in demos and provide business context to ensure solutions meet user needs and deliver intended outcomes
  • Track and report on KPIs and benefit realization to validate solution effectiveness and inform future improvements
  • Engage with ATS teams to ensure alignment on priorities and delivery timelines for strategic initiatives
  • Contribute to business process optimization and solution design to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency

Qualifications/Skills :

  • Education: University diploma in Business, Finance, Management, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Experience: 10+ years in insurance across underwriting, product, operations, or transformation; hands-on experience with Guidewire (Policy Center, Billing Center, Claims Center) strongly preferred.

Core Skills:

  • Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook): Executive presentations; analytical modeling; professional documentation.
  • Business Case Analyses & Data Analytics: Financial modeling, KPI design, benefits tracking, trend analysis.
  • Business Communications & Communication Management: Clear, structured communication across technical and business audiences.
  • Business Management & Collaborating: Cross-functional leadership; influence without authority; stakeholder alignment.
  • Compliance & Insurance Underwriting: Regulatory awareness; underwriting principles; risk and control integration.
  • Product Management & Product Road mapping: Lifecycle management; MVP definition; backlog prioritization.
  • Process Improvements: Lean process design; automation opportunities; measurable outcome improvements.

Bonus qualifications: Guidewire system experience, Bilingual (French, English)

Compensation
Expected compensation for this role ranges from $ 97,700.00 - 147,700.00 annually. Actual salary offered to successful candidates will vary based on their skills and experience.
