Product Engineer - (Hybrid)

Your role in the team
The Product Engineer is a backend-focused engineer responsible for building, supporting, and automating scalable systems that power both backend services and front-end applications. This role emphasizes end-to-end process automation-beyond Microsoft Fabric-to streamline workflows across Risk Engineering and Line 1 risk functions with a strong focus on the data aspects that drive this function forward.
The Product Engineer will have strong Python, data engineering, SQL, and Power BI expertise to develop reliable, auditable solutions that improve operational efficiency, data quality, and risk oversight. This role partners with engineering, data, and risk stakeholders to deliver secure, high-performing systems while upholding engineering standards and supporting continuous improvement.
This position is open at multiple levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure vendor software; review and verify operation of new vendor release features. Leverage vendor defect resolution procedures and support tools to resolve issues.
- Assist with overall product planning by contributing to/creating stories for moderately complex features in areas of responsibility.
- In partnership with the business groups and technical teams, provide knowledge and support for resolving technology issues in multiple areas of the business; sought as a subject matter expert.
- Create the functional design, leveraging moderate technical skills, to address moderate complex business processes or issues or to address the requirements of a set of product features.
- Manage the issues and blockers for assigned features and product stories.
- Assist in gathering the training and user documentation requirements.
- Organize, lead and finalize feature review sessions for moderately complex business issues/requirements and document resulting decisions.
- Support the planning, conduct, and review of module and integration testing for all but the most complex projects.
- Use knowledge of integrated requirements to evaluate proposed software products.
- Implement automations regarding the movement of data between systems.
- Develop and maintain backend systems that contribute to the data model used to drive our risk products.
- Develop insights through both dashboards and notebooks to drive change throughout the organization.
Essential Skills:

- Minimum of 3 + years' experience in Python for automation development.
- Minimum of 3 + years in working with Data tools such as Microsoft Fabric and SQL.
- Minimum of 3+ years working in PowerBI.
Desirable Skills:
- Minimum of 1 year' experience in LangChain, LLM orchestration, and prompt engineering
