Job Description
The Financial Accountant is responsible for supporting day-to-day accounting activities and contributing to accurate financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP and statutory requirements. This role is suited for an accounting professional with 2-3 years of experience who is developing strong technical expertise, can manage priorities independently, and proactively identifies issues and improvement opportunities.

This position offers the flexibility to work remotely; however, candidates must reside in Tijuana, Baja California and be authorized to work in Mexico.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities and support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Prepare and analyze complex account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies
• Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation in line with US GAAP and internal policies
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual statutory and/or GAAP financial statements, schedules, and exhibits
• Prepare analytical schedules, perform variance analysis, and provide insights to support business and accounting objectives
• Collaborate cross-functionally within the accounting team and with internal stakeholders
• Identify, communicate, and assess the impact of accounting- and business-related initiatives on assigned processes and financial statements
• Apply professional accounting standards and exercise judgment when making recommendations
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and controls

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accounting principles
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
• Experience working with ERP systems; SAP or Oracle experience preferred
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities
