Digital Product Manager (hybrid/remote)
At Allstate, great things happen when our people work together to protect families and their belongings from life's uncertainties. And for more than 90 years, our innovative drive has kept us a step ahead of our customers' evolving needs. From advocating for seat belts, air bags and graduated driving laws, to being an industry leader in pricing sophistication, telematics, and, more recently, device and identity protection.
Your role in the team
The Architecture, Compute, and Engineering (ACE) organization powers Allstate's next generation digital foundation - a cloud-driven platform ecosystem enabling end users and product teams to innovate quickly and seamlessly as part of the Consumer Connected Cloud mission.
As a Digital Product Manager in ACE, you'll help shape, deliver, and manage the lifecycle of impactful platform products that support Allstate's strategic goals. You'll blend strategic thinking with technical insight, partnering across engineering, design, and business teams to solve real customer problems at enterprise scale.
This role is ideal for a strategic, technically savvy product leader who thrives in fast paced environments and wants to influence how foundational digital capabilities are built and experienced across the company. If you're passionate about driving innovation and shaping the future of Allstate's digital ecosystem, this is your opportunity.
Please note that the role supports a later start (around 10 AM), with the expectation that on certain days you may work until approximately 7 PM to meet business or project demands
Key Responsibilities
- Set product vision & outcomes: Define and communicate the vision, mission, and measurable outcomes for end-user productivity (e.g., Office, Adobe, Copilot, foundational UX services) aligned to enterprise OKRs.
- Drive insight-led prioritisation: Use adoption, reliability, security, and cost/license data to identify opportunities and translate them into outcome-based priorities.
- Own roadmap & delivery plan: Maintain an outcome-based roadmap with a near-term locked plan (e.g., 60 days) and a rolling mid-term horizon (e.g., 6+ months), balancing KTLO, upgrades, adoption, and modernisation.
- Drive end-to-end delivery: Partner with Engineering, UX, Security, Service, and business stakeholders from discovery through release and operational readiness to deliver compliant, production-grade experiences
- Execute in Agile/XP: Manage backlog and user stories, run core ceremonies (IPM/standups/retros/demos), uphold acceptance discipline, and coordinate cross-team dependencies.
- Keep the platform secure & current: Prioritise and orchestrate continual updates (e.g., monthly Office/security updates and suite upgrades) to improve resilience and minimise disruption.
- Own KPI-based performance: Define and manage KPIs across adoption, satisfaction, incidents/defects, security compliance, release health, and cost optimisation; use insights to steer decisions.
- Align stakeholders with exec-ready comms: Provide crisp updates on progress, trade-offs, risks, and budget impacts; influence prioritisation and manage expectations.
- Govern vendors, spend & licensing value: Manage vendors/budgets and run utilisation and optimisation routines to prevent waste and maximise value
- Drive product reviews & health: Maintain core product artefacts (vision, users, intake, health metrics, architecture, roadmap) and drive recurring product reviews to ensure transparency and direction.
