Job Description
We are seeking a versatile Analytics & BI Specialist to join our EU Operations Analytics team. This role provides crucial analytical support for our EU Operations team, working on key projects to support Supply Chain, Customer Operations, and Customer Experience.

You will be an analytics 'all-rounder', supporting data engineering and data modelling to prepare high-quality datasets for analysis, and supporting the development of front-end visualisations. A key part of your role will be assisting our team with its strategic migration to the Microsoft Fabric platform. This will involve supporting with the move from Tableau to Power BI and contributing to the development of robust data models, and building simple, maintainable pipelines using Python and SQL to transform source data into analysis-ready datasets. The ideal candidate is technically skilled, collaborative, and passionate about using data to solve complex business problems, with a pragmatic approach to data preparation and automation.

Stakeholder Collaboration: work closely with business stakeholders and lead analysts to understand project requirements and help translate business needs into technical solutions.

Project Support: assist in the end-to-end delivery of analytics projects, from requirements gathering and data exploration to building, testing, and deploying solutions.

Data Engineering: Design and build basic pipelines using Python and SQL to ingest, clean, and transform source data into analysis-ready datasets. This includes automating recurring data preparation tasks and improving the reliability and scalability of existing data flows.

Data Modelling: contribute to the design, build, and maintenance of scalable and efficient data models, using dbt and Microsoft Fabric semantic models.

BI & Visualisation: Develop, maintain, and enhance dashboards and reports in Power BI to provide actionable insights for the Operations team.

Migration Support: play an active support role in our analytics transformation, assisting with activities to migrate data pipelines into Microsoft Fabric and transition existing reports from Tableau to Power BI.

Data Analytics: write complex and efficient SQL queries and use Python where appropriate to extract, manipulate, and analyse large datasets to answer specific business questions.

Insight Generation: perform deep-dive analyses to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for operational improvement, presenting findings clearly to the team.

Data Governance: help champion data quality and consistency, ensuring that data is accurate, well-documented, and trusted by the business.

Essential:

  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Fabric ecosystem, including Lakehouse and pipelines
  • Proven experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related role
  • Advanced SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and complex querying
  • Working experience with Python for data manipulation, automation, and building basic pipelines.
  • Strong experience with a modern BI visualisation tool (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)
  • Demonstrable experience in data modelling
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; you must be comfortable handling 'client-facing' or stakeholder conversations to understand requirements and present findings
  • A strong analytical mindset with a high degree of business acumen and a proactive, problem-solving attitude
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and contribute to several projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment

Desirable:

  • Experience building or maintaining pipelines in an analytics environment
  • Experience with using dbt for data transformation
  • Experience with Power BI and writing DAX measures
  • Previous experience supporting Operations, Supply Chain, or Customer Experience functions
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and cloud data platforms

Knowledge/Education:

Essential:

● Bachelor's degree REQUIRED in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Finance, Engineering, or any quantitative background

● 2-4 years' experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or related role
