Job Description
The Associate Manager role supports the Director to provide strategic partnership to the executive and senior leadership team of an Area of Responsibility (AOR) or Market Facing Business (MFB) at Allstate. This role works very closely with the Principle HR Business Partner, the Strategic HR Consulting and Delivery team, and other stakeholders to contribute to high-impact talent initiatives that drive business value. In partnership with the Strategic HR Director, this role supports consulting on talent strategy and implications across all aspects of the employee lifecycle

Key Responsibilities

Utilizes evidence-based communication/storytelling to influence complex talent strategies by presenting data-driven recommendations for senior leaders. Ability to recognize and adapt to varying communication preferences, including high-level context and deep detail.

In partnership with the People Analytics team, leverages Analytics and Benchmarking (internal/external) resources, root causes analysis, and management consulting frameworks to support talent strategies and help ideate action plans for ambiguous problems

Understands and navigates between the needs of the AOR and overall needs of the organization.

Supports change management efforts for complex AOR efforts by leading or influencing change plans and communications as it relates to business strategy changes with associated talent implications.

Utilizes Project/Product Management and foundational HR subject matter expertise to contribute to the delivery of talent strategies of moderate to high complexity to achieve business priorities. Ensures all projects and initiatives are explicitly linked to delivering business objectives and drive business value.

Through strong business knowledge and financial acumen, strategic and systems thinking, foundational understanding of the employee lifecycle, provides evidence-based consulting on strategic talent initiatives including but not limited to: human capital planning, compensation, succession & development, Inclusive Diversity, engagement, Executive coaching, and workforce transitions.

Education

4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

Experience

5 or more years of experience (Preferred)

Supervisory Responsibilities

This job has supervisory duties.

Education & Experience (in lieu)

In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
