The TS group includes IS, based in Dayton Ohio, which supports multiple branches of the United States Armed Forces (USAF).

BLUF

Technical Solutions (TS), a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries has an exciting career opportunity for individuals with experience, or desire to enter, Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) within our Integrated Solution (IS) group. The ideal candidate would have experience in Digital Engineering (DE), Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), and be a well-rounded Systems Engineer (SE). Those with experience/background in Systems Engineering with a desire to expand their knowledge are also encouraged to apply!

The Position

This position would be involved in all aspects of the product life cycle, from marketing & business development to establishing requirements, executing design activities, development, and testing. It will also require an individual that can work with a team, interact with the customer and interface with Program and Portfolio leadership as well as Business Development. The role requires an individual that is passionate about working alongside our customer to lead the development of solutions that resolve intriguing problems. Performance of these efforts will be accomplished using leading edge technology and processes within an MBSE environment.

In this new position they will be helping define the role, while steering our tools and processes towards better synergy with emerging customer practices for MBSE and Digital Engineering initiatives for our Dayton operations.

Candidates may range from recent college graduates to experienced engineers; the important things are that they are self-motivated, dependable, a team player and a desire to grow their skills while working on up-and-coming technologies.

The Requirements

• Active Secret and ability to obtain a TOP SECRET clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
• Experience in design, analysis, modeling, testing of systems (preferably with MBSE)
• Recent experience with digital engineering tools including CAMEO or SysML.
• Solid background and knowledge of Systems Engineering and Design Principles
• Passionate about supporting the customer and working in a cross functional team
• Self-motivated and Passionate about solving complex engineering challenges
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Excellent presentation skills

Desired Skills

• MS or PhD in an Engineering discipline
• 5 years of combined MBSE experience in the design, analysis, modeling, or testing of systems
• Experience and desire to work in a team or lead a team of multi-disciplinary engineers
• 2-3 years of experience with CAMEO or similar product
• Experience with at least 1 programming language (Java, Python, Ruby, JavaScript etc.)
• Basic SQL query skills and general understanding of relational databases.
• Experience with developing and/or evaluating SysML
