Job Description
Summary

HII - Technical Solutions Division is currently seeking a Systems Analyst to work out of their clients Wilkes Barre, PA or remote in support of the United States Postal Service (USPS).

What You Will Do

  • Develops and configures systems specifications that address business requirements, processes, and that fit with the company's system architecture standards.
  • Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards.
  • Evaluates interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system.
  • Establishes and documents system parameters and formats, ensures hardware and software systems compatibility, and coordinates and/or modifies system parameters in terms of existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities.
  • Revises existing systems and tests functionality of the system to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, data integrity, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage.
  • May document testing and maintenance of system updates, modifications, and configurations.
  • May act as a liaison with other business functions.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a business, computer science, information systems, business analysis related field or equivalent experience
  • Strong business analysis skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective at building strong business relationships across teams to ensure a positive customer experience and quality of software projects into Production
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to effectively work directly with customers and technical staff
  • Strong facilitation skills to effectively lead discussions across multiple groups
  • Strong ability to guide development team activities from requirements to implementation in all aspects of a software development lifecycle with little supervision
  • Perform analysis to support the development and validation of requirements
  • Able to effectively translate business requirements/needs into detailed software requirements and support tasks utilizing Agile methodologies and setup of work management tools (like VersionOne)
  • Able to communicate technical information to others, expressing facts or ideas clearly, orally or in writing, when answering questions, giving directions, and providing information, individually or in groups
  • A new Federal Executive Order requires that employees of Federal contractors be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by December 8, 2021.
