Job Description

Join a difference making team that is part of our continued growth and success. The Associate Subcontracts Administrator will work in a fast-paced environment supporting Department of Defense contracts. Responsibilities include:

Assist with preparation of the solicitation document for moderately complex acquisitions to include statements of work, terms and conditions, flow-down terms and conditions, bid or performance evaluation factors, and other measures incorporated into the Requests for Proposal as may be appropriate for the procurement. Assists in interpreting Subcontract requirements for Proposal Management Team.

Assist with support of bid reviews of both the technical and cost proposals.

Work with the technical staff, to support resolution of matters of disagreement between Alion and the potential subcontractor.

Work with senior subcontract administrators to ensure the receipt, accuracy and timeliness of subcontractor submitted documents relating to the subcontract deliverables as well as monitoring performance relative to timeliness, cost considerations, and technical objectives.

Assist with preparation of price and/or cost analyses using techniques other than adequate price competition.

Assist with written reports, letters, and memoranda required for internal and external distribution.

Helps to coordinate subcontracting activities with various internal and external sources.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in related discipline plus 0 to 2 years of directly related experience in a government contracting environment.

In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived for more than 6 years applicable work experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
Ability to learn and understand the purchasing system (CPSR) environment.

Ability to learn and understand the Federal Acquisition Regulations.

Ability to learn and understand various contract vehicles, i.e., FFP, T&M/LH, CPFF, CPIF. Experience with this type of subcontracting is a plus.

A security clearance of an appropriate level may be required after employment.
