Summary

HII - Technical Solutions Division is currently seeking a Senior Programmer Analyst to work out of their customer's Wilkes Barre, PA office.

The Programmer Analyst will integrate with cross-functional teams specializing in architecture development, solutions analysis and documentation informing the development and implementation of Information Technology (IT) business processes, programs, plans and guidance for the USPS customer.

What you will do

  • Prepares system requirements, source analysis and process analyses and design throughout data framework/fabric analysis, design and modernization
  • Determines optimum data storage and transfer requirements.
  • Uses data mapping, data mining and data transformational analysis techniques and tools to design and develop optimal data frameworks, data fabrics, and/or databases
  • May develops, construct, test and maintain data management framework architectures (such as databases and large-scale processing systems)
  • May model database design, architecture, metadata and repository configuration management.
  • Database Developer using PL/SQL, SQL, mySQL, SQLoader, SQL*PLUS or any other SQL-based database technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience with complex SQL queries.
  • Participate in program requirement discussions with stakeholders, Product Line Managers, and various IT teams.
  • Able to communicate with management, technicians, and end-users to evaluate need prior to development of an automated solution.
  • Demonstrate exceptional writing, briefing skills, and technical enterprise leadership are a foundational element of the support needed to meet the customer challenges.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

What you must have
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a business, computer science, information systems, business analysis related field or equivalent experience
  • 10 years' experience in administering database applications using Oracle technologies.
  • Excellent knowledge of the software development life cycle.
  • Experience with Agile and Scrum development methodologies.
  • Must have experience in the below technical Stack:
    • Oracle Database
    • PL/SQL
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective at building strong business relationships across teams to ensure a positive customer experience and quality of software projects into Production
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to effectively work directly with customers and technical staff
  • Strong facilitation skills to effectively lead discussions across multiple groups
  • Strong ability to guide development team activities from requirements to implementation in all aspects of a software development lifecycle with little supervision
  • Perform analysis to support the development and validation of requirements
  • Able to communicate technical information to others, expressing facts or ideas clearly, orally or in writing, when answering questions, giving directions, and providing information, individually or in groups
  • Clearance: Must be able to obtain and keep a USPS Sensitive Clearance
