Four (4) key leadership responsibilities: Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Process Improvement, & Supplier Quality Management.

Overview

  • Provides oversight for the development and maintenance of end-to-end quality assurance and quality control programs, systems, processes and procedures that ensure compliance with policies and that the performance and quality of services conform to established standards and agency guidelines.
  • Provides expertise and guidance in interpreting policies, regulatory and/or governmental regulations, and agency guidelines to assure compliance.
  • Works directly with the operating group to provide process analyses oversight on a continuing basis to enforce requirements and meet guidelines.
  • Leads audit and inspection preparation, resolution of audit and inspection findings and liaises with auditing groups and inspectors through all stages of the audits.
  • Co-ordinates legal requests in support of government investigations or litigations.
  • Ensures the quality assurance programs and policies are maintained and modified regularly. Facilitates uniform standards worldwide and enables best practice sharing, thereby fostering the achievement of company's mission globally.

What you will be doing...

Provides oversight for the development and maintenance of quality programs, systems, processes and procedures that meet contractual deliverable requirements. Lead a team of talented quality engineers and inspectors and coordinate metrics reporting and performance monitoring to ensure compliance with program budget and schedule. Effectively communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders and external customers. Provide expertise and guidance in interpreting policies, regulatory and/or governmental regulations, and agency guidelines to ensure achievement of quality objectives in support of corporate goals. Lead implementation of organizational projects and processes to ensure overall quality is continuously improving. Oversight for quality improvement processes to ensure reductions in cost of poor quality and escapes. Lead audit and inspection preparation, resolution of audit and inspection findings and serves as a liaison with auditing groups and inspectors through all stages of the audits. Coordinates legal requests in support of government investigations or litigations. Ensures the quality assurance programs and policies are maintained and modified regularly. Facilitates uniform standards worldwide and enables best practice sharing, thereby fostering the achievement of company's mission globally.

What we are looking for...
  • Dynamic individual that can drive change and process improvement to support future growth.
  • 20+ years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 18+ years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 15+ years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 24 years relevant experience.
  • This position requires business travel. HII policy requires that all employees must be complete with their covid vaccination to engage in business travel.
  • Must have an active confidential clearance #LI-MH1


Bonus points for...

ISO Auditing, Manufacturing Quality Control and Process Improvement process and systems leadership experience preferred

Exposure to fumes and irritants normally encountered in industrial or shipboard environment. May involve gathering data while observing rotating or operating machinery, electrical or electronic equipment with high voltages present.
