Job Overview:
Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) is seeking a Senior Organizational Development Manager. A successful candidate will be responsible for the execution and plans related to The Defense Innovation Unit's (DIU) Human Capital and will report to the Director of DIU. This critical role assists the Director in the development of the leadership team, improving the effectiveness of the organization in terms of skills, processes, and culture. We're looking for a dynamic leader who would like to make a difference for a national mission of critical importance. This position is based in Mountain View, CA with expected travel of 10%.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coaching and developing a leadership team
- Creating a plan for operationalizing DIU's cultural aspirations including how employee feedback is given and ensuring we take action on the most important feedback
- Assembles the composite picture of military and government civilian rotations to identify key hiring needs along with a plan to fill critical future gaps in staffing
- Generating a training plan for project managers
- Articulating an onboarding process for new team members
- Identify and implement unique DIU hiring authorities

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Capital Management or related field
- 10 years of private sector experience with emphasis on organizational development within HR
- Coaching and developing senior leaders
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding communication skills
